Bleach London does Make-up

 

 Bleach London, the world's first salon focusing only on hair colouring that has taken the world of colouring by storm with their unique styles have ventured into the world of make-up with their new range.

Created with the help of co-founder Sam Teasdale's sister, Lou, who you might recognise as the make-up artist the stars, the range features all the go-to items that every girl and boys needs.

Eye shadows and palettes, highlighters and contours, brushes and even lip kits, there is everything you could dream of. And the best bit, the price!

 

We're so used to having to spend a fortune for everything, it's nice to see that a brand like Bleach has made all their products affordable for all. With prices ranging from £3 to £12, you really won't be breaking the bank.

As for the products, they are Bleach London down to a T. You won't be seeing all the different shades of pink and nude, there's shades of orange, purple, green, blue - everything, in true Bleach style.

 And an extra bonus that some might be pleased to hear is that all products are vegan and the packaging is ecofriendly.

Fall 2017 Couture

When you hear the word couture, you think high fashion, exclusivity and drama, so when we had look at the collections from Fall 2017 Couture week we were some what disappointed; and we weren't the only ones - Vogue went on to call the whole thing, '
drabulousness'.

We're not saying that everything was a complete let down, but we just expected more. We were hoping for more evening wear and not just daywear, which everyone seemed to be showing. One designer that did pull it out of the bag was Elie Saab who's collection oozed everything Game of Thrones and was the epitome of glamour. Other favourites included Atelier Versace and Chanel.

Smelling Food leads to Weight Gain

 

 We'll set the scene, you're five days into the diet and you just want a little bit of chocolate, so you grab a biscuit and instead of indulging and ruining your diet you just have a little smell. No harm in having a little sniff, it's not going to change much. Or will it?

 According to scientists in the US, they found that the small of food could play an important role in how the body processes calories.

The study, conducted on mice by a group of researchers at the University of California, cut off the sense of smell of a group of obese mice in order to test their theory. The results revealed that the mice who had lost their sense of smell shed more weight compared to those on the same diet that could still sniff their meals.

Smelling food could actually lead to the body storing it rather than burning it off.

The scientists believe that smelling food prior to eating could impact how the body processes calories. Sniffing your food could signal to the body that it should store the food as fat as opposed to burning it off.

"Sensory systems play a role in metabolism," says Andrew Dillin, a senior author of the study.  "Weight gain isn't purely a measure of the calories taken in; it's also related to how those calories are perceived."

 "If we can validate this in humans, perhaps we can actually make a drug that doesn't interfere with smell but still blocks that metabolic circuitry."

Well there goes us smelling our food before I dig in.

Bikini Shopping

It's July, bikini season is officially here and it's time to get serious.

Your swimwear of choice has become a bit thing lately, there is a style to suit everyone... or is there? 

 If you're a curvy girl, the thought of going shopping for swimwear is just about enough to put you off going on holiday - potentially!

The struggle of having to find the perfect bikini that fits like a glove both on the top and the bottom is just too much for some. But we're not alone.

 

We give you model Sonny Turner. Our hero speaking up for curvy girls throughout the world.

Taking to Instagram, she posted what it truly feels like going shopping for bikini's:

"The reality of shopping as a thick/plus size women!! Changing rooms can be scary places. I'm wearing the largest size from one of the most popular high street stores sells in bikinis which is 12-14."

"High street store bikinis do not cater for women of my body type. Majority of online stores don't either. NO ONE GETS ITS."

"So for any upcoming designers I got some tips for u. Big breasts need underwire for support for a youthful lift we need cup sized that correlate to bar aizes and they need to go past DD."

"We need cups that actually cover more than our nipple. We need cups that bring our boobs together so there's not a massive gap in-between them. We need straps that aren't so tight it's as though our neck is about to snap off."

"We need bikini bottoms that don't give us wedgies when we walk. We need string bikinis that don't expose our vagina lips. We need swimsuits that fit over our hips without dragging the neck of the costume down causing neck ache."

 

"We deserve more choice in the selection for our body type that isn't just the generic black swimsuit with a kimono. Yes believe it or not, some of us actually want a thong bikini, the whole selection doesn't have to be high waisted."

"We're gonna need you to stop using models with fake boobs that aren't a real depiction of what the bra would look like on our real droopy ones."

"It's not fair that we can't walk wear cute swimwear just bc we are built differently. We deserve to walk into a store and pay £10 for a nice bikini without breaking the bank and our body confidence."
