Adidas tackles pollution

In a bid to end pollution, Adidas have created a pair of trainers made entirely out of plastic ocean debris. Set to launch new editions of their popular Ultra Boost trainers, each pair will be made up of 11 reused plastic bottles and other recycled products.

Partnered with Parley for the Oceans, the brands are hoping to raise awareness of the wider pollution problems within the oceans.

"We not only see sustainability as an opportunity to get a competitive advantage. We see it as an obligation for us as a global company to do business in a responsible and sustainable way," said Kasper Rorsted, CEO of Adidas.

With three new editions, the trainers will be available in-store and online from tomorrow, May 10th.
