Would you wear these...

Fashion is an interesting thing. It's not for everyone, especially high-fashion. We like to keep an eye on what's going on within the industry, both on the high street and the catwalks. So when we stumbled upon the next two items, we just had to share.

The first item lit up the Twittersphere a couple weeks ago...

The $425 pair of jeans from Nordstrom that came with fake mud plastered all over the legs. Yes, you no longer need to roll around in a muddle puddle to get this effect, because designers have done it for you!

The next item comes from Belgian designer Maison Margiela...

Now we know the distressed look has been a hit for some time but this is starting to take the biscuit. For $1,425 you could get you hands on, well, not much.

Known for his avant-garde fashion, Margiela is a go-to within the fashion world. Sold online at Neiman Marcus, they describe the designer as "a pioneer of avant-garde fashion" who worked "during the 1980s to redefine luxury under radical terms."

These trainers definitely are radical, that's for sure.

Is this the future of fashion? We will be seeing these styles trickle down to the high street? If Topshop's latest clear plastic jeans are anything to go by, then yes. We wouldn't be surprised if someone out there put them on the shelves for everyone to buy.

The question is, would you wear these...
