Last night, the master of reinvention, Christopher Bailey presented Burberry's AW16 womenswear and menswear, 'see now, buy now' collection. Inspired by Virginia Woolf's novel, Orlando: A Biography, "the tale of a poet who switches genders and lives through several centuries," the collection had a narrative that connected the past and the present in a seamless way, much like the novel did in the late twenties.
With an Elizabethan feel of ruffled detailing on shirt collars and miniature bags and a more modern-day feel of oversized sweaters, silk pyjama shirts and sherling jackets the collection had it all. And we want it all!
