Yesterday Christopher Kane marked his 10th anniversary at London Fashion Week with his SS17 collection. Held at the Tate Gallery, his collection, 'Make Do and Mend' named after the 1940's British Government pamphlet that provided tips on how to adapt clothing for longer during the rationing period as women were keen to keep up appearances. The collection wasn't anything like the 40's but instead the recycling was to do with Kane's own past and his 'patchwork of memories'.
