Freddo's

Freddo.. the chocolate bar of the 2000's. Everybody's favourite. The little frog-shaped treat are set to rise in price AGAIN.

Now we know this has nothing to do with fashion or beauty, but this is a national crisis. According to Mondelez, the owner of Cadbury's, the price is set to increase 20% to a stretch of 30p. 30p... Obviously this is not an incredible amount, but considering when the little bars of delight first came onto the scene, they were a mere 10p. It's bad enough that over the years we have seen the price rise from 17p in 2010, to 25p in 2015 and now to a whopping 30p. What did we do to deserve this madness?!

Well it's down to an increase in the cost of their ingredients and not Brexit, supposedly. A spokeswoman said: "Increasing prices is always a last resort, but ot ensure we can keep people's favourite brands on the shelf and look after the 4,500 people we employ in the UK, we are having to make some selective price increases across our range."

What's to happen next? Are we going to lose some of our favourite treats? Are Creme Eggs going to disapppear completely? Who knows, but we're definitley not looking forward to Mondelez's next announcement.
