Swimwear Trend 2017

With it being Australia Day and one of the coldest days of the year, we are dreaming of some summer sun, sitting back, relaxing without a care in the world. But the one thing we don't look forward to is the thought of getting into that dreaded bikini and all the feels that go with it.  But times have changed! You no longer have to wear a bikini because that's the cool thing to do. You can get away with wearing a one-piece these days as they have fast become the go-to staple item on every pool side out there.

So if you're one of the lucky ones, about to escape the grim British weather, here are the swimwear trends for you:

 The Perfect Swimsuit
If you're more of a one-piece type of gal then there's no doubt that there is a swimsuit out there for you. Ever since the swimsuit came back into fashion, designers have gone cossie mad! You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to finding the perfect one. This year the trends to try out are tassels, mesh, laced siding, cut-out and simple, bold colours.

Bikini's
Bikini, bikini, bikini - where do we even start! There's sooo many out there, it's just about finding the style that suits you. But, if you're the type to try out the latest trend then this is what you need to be looking out for... one-shoulder, high-waisted, crop tops and wrap arounds - these are gonna be big this year! High-waisted have been around for a little while, but now everyone is trying the style out.

Texture
Never mind the design of the bikini or one-piece, for some it's all about the texture. There's neoprene, velvet, crochet, towelling... the possibilites are endless!

There you have it! All the styles to suit everyone's needs. But one thing we can't seem to get our heads around is with all these unique designs, what with lacing, high-waist and straps for days, how does one get an even tan? Yes you might look good, but at the end of the day, some people go on holiday for the tan. And you're not going to get a decent one with some of these pieces.
