LFWM: Vivienne Westwood AW17

Dame Vivienne Westwood made her return to the menswear schedule yesterday after several years in Milan, combining both her men's and women's collection. In true Westwood anarchic style, it was like she had never left. In her own handwriting, slogan's 'I.O.U', 'ANTI-PEOPLE' and 'PEOPLE DON'T GET KILLED' prints were outspoken and straightforward.

'A couple swapping clothes,' is how Westwood described the collection within her press release, her latest offering is the true meaning of unisex, abolishing traditions of masculine and feminine clothing. Boys in ball gowns, rib knit sweaters and mini skirts, with girls in shoulodered double-breasted tailoring and voluminous gathered skirts. The collection was full of traditional Westwood signatures. Bold prints inspired by early collections, 'Pirates' and 'Buffalo Girls' made up the colour palette along with shades of indigo, beige and reds.

Welcome home Vivienne, it's good to have you home.
