The World's First Chocolate Gin

 

Introducing X-Gin, every girls dream... a chocolate flavoured gin. 

The masterminds over at Xolato have worked their magic and brought us the world's first chocolate gin. X-Gin combines juniper berries with 15 different herbs and spices, along with Belgian chocolate and vanilla extract - based on Xocoatl, an ancient aphrodisiac from the Mayas and Incas. The gin is even said to be packed with aphrodisiac properties that you are advised to enjoy with caution..

Stieven Victor, Director of Xolato, told the Martini Whisperer, "We wanted to make something different from everything that was out there and were already into chocolate with our Belgian chocolate brand Xolato."

"So we decided to try if a cocoa infused gin could work. Our first thought was that it would taste horrible. We ended up with more than 20 different versions and found something really delicate and special about the final version."

Originally they only produced around 50 bottles for friends and family but after three months they ended up producing over 5,000 because they couldn't keep up with demand.
