Australia Day is a national holiday in the country, which marked the arrival of the British settlers in 1788. January 26th saw the arrival of the First Fleet of eleven convict ships from Britain, and the holiday itself commemorates commander Captain Arthur Phillip's raising of the Union Jack at Sydney Cove.
But, the actual day itself - throughout time - has become one big celebration of what's great about Australia and all things Australian.
