Perms...they're back!
THE look of the Eighties and the go-to look for celebrities such as Madonna and Olivia Newton John is making a comeback. Yes, you've guessed it... the perm!
The back-combed, frizz look that dominated the decade has managed to make it's way back as one of the biggest beauty trends this season.
According to Matrix SoColor celebrity stylist George Papanikolas, the hair dressers in Los Angeles has seen a surge in clients wanting that natural wave.
"The perms trend back in the 80's had extra volume, tight waves, curly bangs, and lots of hairspray paired with a scrunchy or headband," says Papanikolas.
These days its about the beachy look, surfer girl, like you've just emerged from the se and got that wet look down. Think Kimmy K at the MTV Video Music Awards back in 2016 - the effortless, tousled effect.
"It's a great look to get an air-dried finish and a great way to give straight hair a soft bend and movement without additional heat and styling time," Papanikolas said.
Now all we need is that golden tan to match.

House Style: Five Centuries of Fashion at Chatsworth
Opened to the public this weekend and sponsored by Gucci, the exhibition, 'House Style: Five Centuries of Fashion at Chatworth,' is set to be the largest exhibition ever to be held at the stately home.
Six years in the making, the house will showcase clothing from the past 500 years, highlighting couture pieces from Christian Dior and Jean-Phillipe Worth, along with items from Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Vetements and Erdem, to uniforms from Chatsworth throughout the years, as well as 19th Century fancy dress costumes and the family's wedding and coronation gowns.
Curated by Hamish Bowles, the idea for the exhibition came about when Lady Laura Burlington was searching through the textile archive for a christening gown and came across the vast collection of clothing and textiles gathered over the centuries.
"It is so exciting to see the designs become a reality for this complex and layered exhibition. Hose Style has developed over the last six years to encompass far more than we originally envisaged when we first started delving into the Chatsworth archive. I hope visitors will appreciate the scale and ambition of the exhibition, and enjoy exploring the stories that this clothing and memorabilia reveal about the Cavendish family," Lady Burlington said of the exhibition.
When it came down to the exhibition, Bowles said: "Chatsworth is a real treasure house and the characters of generations of Cavendish family members who have peopled its rooms and gardens and landscapes is revealed as vividly through their choice of clothing and adornments, as through the canvases and lenses of the great artists and photographers who have memorialised them through the centuries."
Opened March 25th to October 22nd 2017, this truly will be one of the most mesmerising exhibitions out there.

Emojipedia 5.0
Are your messages just full of emoji's and you just can't express how you're feeling without your favourite pictograph? If you cried yes to both of these, then listen up.
Come June, the Unicode Consortium - the geniuses behind all things emojis - are set to release a new set of emojis to satisfy our texting needs.
New emojis will include a range of mythical creatures from fairies and genies to vampires and zombies. For the foodies out there get ready to go mad with coconuts, fortune cookies and steak. As for emotions, Emoji 5.0 includes a cursing face, a vomiting face and a face blowing it's top off - just a few of our faves. And finally miscellaneous pictographs include a breastfeeding women, a bearded man for all those hispters out there and a woman in a headscarf.
Once again, they've truly spoiled us. Can we wait until June? Probably... but we'd much rather have them now.

All I Want for Christmas Is You
Yes, we know it's only March and it's not the time of year to be talking Christmas, but the news that legendary singer Mariah Carey and the voice behind that iconic Christmas song is set to inspire a new film is more than enough to get us excited for the festive period.
All I Want, will be released this December and will be an animation that will follow the story of a young Mariah Carey. Spotting a puppy in the window of a pet shop named Princess, the little girl will do anything for that puppy to be under her tree come Christmas Day.
But in order to get the puppy, she must prove that she's up for the responsibility and pet-sit for mischievous dog, Jack. Will Jack destroy her hopes of getting little Princess?
Who knows, but we're SO looking forward to this, regardless of our age.

AW17 Diversity Report
The diversity report for AW17 is in and this past season was the most diverse at all four locations.
The report conducted by The Fashion Spot, looked at over 240 shows and found that 27.9 per cent of the models who walked the runways were of minority ethnicities - the highest percentage recorded since The Fashion Spot began analysing shows two and a half years ago.
Coming in first with 31.5 per cent of non-white models was New York and not surprisingly Milan coming in last. All of the shows that the report looked at in new York featured at least one model of colour and the five shows ranked highest for racial diversity were held in New York - Gypsy Sport, Chromat, Kimora Lee Simmons, Yeezy Season 5 and Marc Jacobs.
Looking at size, age and transgender, this season there were 12 transgender models and 21 women aged over 50. Double the amount of plus-size models were used this season compared to last, with 30 models taking to the catwalk. Body positivity advocate and plus-sizse supermodel, Ashley Graham, became the first and only plus-size model to walk in the Michael Kors show.
These are still low percentages in the grand scheme of things but looking back, there has been a vast improvement in terms of diversity. But there's still a long way to go.
Target SS17 Swim Campaign
American discount retailer Target have just released their SS17 swim campaign shots and they're everything we could have wished for in a swimsuit campaign.
Untouched, no filters, no photoshop, stretch marks and all, the images stars four models who perfectly represent different body types. All wearing the same type of swimwear, the campaign shows that you don't have to look a certain way or have a specific body type to pull off a two-piece.
"Target is committed to empowering women to feel confident in what they wear by offering a variety of style choices. We loved working with these women because they embody confidence and inspire others to embrace and be proud of who they are, regardless of their size or shape," Target spokesperson, Jessica Carlson said in an official statement. "it was important to us to use photography that represented their true beauty, without filters."
Latest Prosecco Inspired Product
Prosecco... the drink that in recent years has taken the country by storm. The cheap and wonderful go-to drink for almost everyone, including men, not only tastes amazing but also is full of health benefits.
It's safe to say, we're all a bit prosecco obsessed - and companies have caught onto this; prosecco toiletries, prosecco flavoured foods, prosecco everything. And now, introducing the first edible nail polish flavoured in... you guessed it, PROSECCO!
Made from real prosecco, the glittery nail varnish not only smells and shimmers like the bubbly concoction but it also tastes like the real thing.
And who is down to this creation, you may ask? None other than Groupon. Writing about the product on their website, they state that "this lick-able polish looks exquisite" and gives you all "the fun of the flavour, without a sore head the next day."
Not only will your nails be banging and on trend with the latest glitter craze, but if you're feeling a bit peckish at the end of the night and short on change, you've always got your nails.

Spring Trend Alert
If you thought glitter was only acceptable for festivals and fancy dress, then think again.
Over the past few seasons we've seen a rise in the use of glitter on the runways with subtle flicks under the eye or below the brow, this time around, it's time to step it up a notch.
Think full lips of glitter, inspired by Fendi and DKNY, glitter nail art from Rodarte and glitter eyes like Aigner. It's time to play about with your look, try something new for the girls big night out and go all out or go for a more subtle look with a glitter cat-eye. The possibilities are endless! It's all about have some fun with this. Take some inspo from the catwalk and get creative.
