Christopher Kane does Disney

Beauty and the Beast fans, listen up...

If you weren't already excited about the release of the new live-action adaptation of the Disney classic, then the news of a Beauty and the Beast inspired collection sure will get you excited.

Disney and world-renowned British designer, Christopher Kane have come together to create a 34-piece capsule collection for both men and women. The eco-conscious luxury collection ranges from rose-covered T-shirts to Gainsborough silk coats. Staying true to Kane's aesthetic as well as Disney's, the collection is romantic, elegant and sophisticated.

Instead of focusing on the obvious and creating that yellow dress, Kane chose to highlight the film's motifs through the collection, inspired by everyday wear instead of the film's ball gowns.

"I didn't want to do the yellow dress. I think people were expecting that and to me it just seems too obvious," said Kane. "I don't think it's necessarily something that should be taken out of the world of the film."

Wanting to put emphasis on the iconic rose, Kane put a twist on the magical flower. The designer used lace tops covered in Swarovski crystals adding a dark and feminine touch.

"If you look at Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, even Belle when she's at the beginning of the film, they all have these beautiful pastel blue dresses, so we brought a bit of that into the collection."

"Beauty and the Beast has this important message of just loving whoever you like, learning that love is about more than just the surface and what other people deem appropriate," said Kane.

On sale today online and at Kane's flagship store, as well as Selfridges, The Webster and Isetan, the collection will sure to be an instant hit.
