90's Tooth Gems

Nineties trends only seems to be getting bigger and bigger - we might as well go back in time to the 90's themselves. Chokers, fishnet tights, slip dresses, scrunchies, everywhere you look, you will see some nineties reference. And now thanks to Instagram, where everything is popularised, another trend is back.

The tooth gem.

Yes, that little thing that we begged and begged our mums to let us have is back! The accessory of the decade has made a comeback and it's already being called the go-to of 2k17. Popularised by celebrities and models such as Adwoa Aboah and Katy Perry, who has been seen sporting the Nike tick on her pearly whites since 2015.

Typically worn one at a time - although you can wear more than one - the gem itself consists of a small gold, silver or crystal gem that is bonded to the tooth using a special adhesive that can keep attached for years, if looked after that is.

If like us, you just can't wait and want to give it a go asap, there is a warning that comes with this. Apparently this isn't something you should try at home according to dentists as the DIY method can damage tooth enamel - and nobody wants that.

Guess it's time to finally head down to the dentist then.
