Global brand and one of fashions powerhouses, Louis Vuitton has today launched their latest collaboration with a new line of bags and accessories with American contemporary artist, Jeff Koons.
The collection features imagery from Koon's series of paintings, Gazing Ball - large scale hand-painted reproductions of classic masterpieces - on a range of LV's most popular products including the Speedy, the Keepall and the Neverfull.
Using the works from the Old Masters, Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Titian, Fragonard and Rubens, Koons has printed their classic masterpieces onto the canvas of bags with the names of the artists monogrammed across.
Speaking to Vogue, Koons said: "What's wonderful about working with Louis Vuitton is that there really aren't parameters. When they come and speak to you about a project, everybody already has an understanding of what the possibilities are to create something special. We both had the same objective: we wanted to make something that really uses material, texture and colour to communicate and create something desirable."
The Masters collection will be available to buy - at one hefty price - April 28th.
As amazing as they are, and a clever idea, we can only dream about having one of these.
