Christopher Kane AW17

Christopher Kane has a nack for turning questionable items into modern luxury, and just like the bejewelled crocs from last season, this time was no different.

The main focus of the collection was fabrics - knitwear, oil slick holographics to peach, pink and orange damasks. "We wanted to work with historical fabrics," Kane said. "It's about the people who make these fabrics as much as the fabrics themselves... combined with history and femininity."

In terms of the influences, he went for a more down-to-earth and industrial feel, including female factory workers, science packaging and technology.
