Yeezy Season 5

Yesterday it was the hotly anticipated fifth NYFW show from Kanye West - Yeezy Season 5. And as usual it's got everyone talking.

Last season, his show was the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons - first of all the show started 90 minutes late, then models had to stand in the blistering heat causing many to faint and fall to their knees. And as for the clothes, they were the usual Kanye offerings - leotards, sportswear and oversized with a nude colour palette.

This time around, everyone's talking about it for all the right reasons. The clothes themselves, were in true Kanye style, the show was only a little bit late and a new Adidas x Yeezy trainer made it's debut. But that's not the only thing.

The main talking point was model, Halima Aden. A model who wore her hijab on the runway - which is pretty much unheard of. Making her runway debut, she rocked a full length fur coat, heels and of course her hijab.

Born in a refugee camp in Kenya, the model came onto Kanye's radar when she ran for Ms Minnesota where she was the first-ever woman to wear a hijab for the whole competition - including wearing a burkini for the swinsuit section.

From there she was signed to IMG and made an appearance in the CR Fashion Book - which is every models dream.

After this casting, we can see Halima's career going from strength to strength. And who would have thought that Kanye had done something right for once...
