This morning Karl Lagerfeld created the Chanel Data Centre which showcased the latest technology themed collection for the upcoming season. The Grand Palais was transformed into a technological hub where models wore clothing inspired by the new digital age, with boucle suits, neon baseball caps and digital print dresses. But the stand-out feature was the opening of the show, where we saw a pair of Storm Trooper-esque robots dressed in the house's signature suits.
Is this what the future of fashion will look like in many many years to come?
With live-streaming of shows and now virtual reality experiences taking over fashion events, is the industry about to turn into some sort of gadget convention? We're all about new and exciting experiences but maybe we're getting slightly ahead of the game.
