The Pressures on Women

A photography student from Pittsburgh has released a series of images that highlight the pressures on women to look good. "And Everything Nice is an unflinching analysis of the standard for female beauty" says Hannah on her blog. The student went on to publish a few of her images from the photo series on her blog, where it quickly went viral.

The student chose to replace bodily fluids for glitter to "illustrate the transient and damaging measure of female beauty." The project aims to show the high and constant expectations that women face to be attractive (to 'glitter') regardless of what else is going on in our personal lives.

Normally there's so much stigma surrounding posting images of this type but to see that they are becoming so accepted is rather refreshing.
